About Us

A secure system for on-premise voice biometrics.

What does "Tensor Voice" mean? Tensors are mathematical objects named by an expert in the mathematics of crystals, an obscure fellow named Woldemar Voigt in a paper entitled "The fundamental physical properties of crystals in an elementary presentation" in 1898.

Tensors turned out to be an incredibly useful mathematical object now used in a wide variety of fields. In machine learning, a tensor is a way of embedding high-dimensional data into a multi-dimensional array suitable for deep neural networks. Tensors are able to represent images, movies, volumes, sounds, and relationships among words and concepts in a unified way. Tensor Processing Units known as TPUs are like GPUs and CPUs, but they specialize in the tensor math used for neural nets.

Although we specialize in Voice Recognition, we also research with machine learning in many ways that involve tensors. So it seemed natural to put the core of our research into the company name.
